Haze creates the atmosphere onstage. A light water based haze makes all the difference with moving lights and Pars. The air beam of light and refraction patterns common with stage lighting only happens when your have a light haze onstage and gets more dramatic and intense with more haze. Early haze was oil based and often produced as a heavy fog. A light oil based haze would often bother vocalists over time and oil based haze would leave a sticky oily residue on every surface. Today with modern water based haze you can produce just enough atmosphere to create the air beams and movement from the stage lighting without bothering vocalists. Some of the more dramatic pictures found on our gallery tab use a fair amount of haze but this often dissipates very fast outside or in a large venue and even a very light haze will go a long way to bring out the look that defines your performance or event.

We also offer the Chauvet Vesuvio 2 Pro Geyser. The Vesuvio is a vertical hazer that uses water based haze and shoots a rapid vertical burst of fog into the air on command. These work great even on the large stage and will shoot more than 30 ft in the air and the shot can last up to 40 seconds per shot. Short burst will dissipate quickly. The look is very similar to the look of a cryo shot with out the noise or the high cost of CO2 tanks and limited use before the tanks run out. The Vesuvio uses standard water based haze and the will last all night. Vesuvio 2 are the pro units and out preform cheaper DJ geysers and they will stand up to touring. They also have built in DMX controllable RGBA+UV LED lights in two zones for colored bursts. Two, four or six of these make a big statement and are a pile of fun. These are great to add punch on time in a song or for a big introduction or reveal or players taking the field.
