We have Martin Mac Viper profile fixtures in stock. The viper is one of the most popular fixtures at the moment. The Viper is a modern full CMY fixture that is at home on the large stage. CMY allows an unlimited color pallet and the ability to smoothly transition between colors. They also feature a 4 facet prism, 1000w lamp, a nice selection of modern gobos, zoom, focus, iris, frost, a color wheel and high light output. 110v or 220v and 82lbs.
We have a large number… a semi full … of Martin Mac 2000 ver 2 Profile fixtures. The Mac 2K is a work horse of the industry and until the Viper came along it was one of Martins top fixtures. Some vendors and users have moved away from the 2K fixtures because of accumulating maintenance issues and a somewhat outdated feature set when compared to the latest fixtures. We went a different direction. We rebuilt and updated all of our Mac 2K inventory. We identified all of the common failure modes and addressed them. We speed up the movement, added modern gobos for better aerial breakup and added custom 8 facet prisms and 6 facet linear prisms that are only found on some of the latest fixtures. The new gobos offer kaleidoscope cascading patterns and spinning 3D patterns. The 2Ks are full CMY lights and also offered a limited color wheel. We added 3 additional rich dichroic colors to the color wheel so the light can now do fast color scrolls between, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Conga, Magenta, Blue and White. The Mac 2K offers a 1200w lamp, zoom, focus, iris, frost and high output and with the modifications they look and perform very similar to the Vipers for a lower rental price. 220v and 100lbs.
The Martin Mac 2000 Wash offers the same CMY 1200w light engine as the 2K profile, has 2 color wheels with rich colors and was designed as a wash light with a fresnel lens. The 2K can work as a wash light but these days most users prefer LED wash like the R2s below. We have modified out 2K washes with the Martin beam kit offered for the XBs. The Beam kit, not shown in the picture below, converts the light to a beam fixture with a monster wide, bright beam. These days we usually use the 2K wash with the beam kits as Down Stage front wash / spot lights on large stages and they can be used in place of follow spots or to complement follow spots. Then for that big moment in the show, use them as beam or search lights… They dominate even the biggest stage in beam mode with rich reds and ambers. Then can also be used as a long throw wash on a large stage. They are a few pounds lighter than the 2K profiles.
We have a large number of ADJ Vizi beams and they are a very reliable compact light that packs a major punch that cuts though even on the largest festival stages. These are much brighter than most other lights that use the same lamp. They have a simpler optical path than many lights that use the same lamp. They have a very narrow 2 degree beam and they outshine most other lights on a stage while providing lots of rich saturated colors including amber. They work equally well in smaller venues. They feature a very nice color wheel with many rich colors. Several similar lights with the same lamp offer either fewer colors or washed out unsaturated colors. Many of the China clones are known for having washed out, unsaturated colors like only light blue and pinkish reds and a lack of amber or rich magenta…This is one of the reasons we avoid the clones…The Vizis offer very fast movement, lots of gobos, frost and a 3 facet prism. 110v small light weight package.
We have a limited number of Chauvet Rogue R2 LED wash inventory and more are available by cross rental if needed. The Rogue is one of our favorite small LED wash. These are very bright, very fast and have excellent color mixing and saturation. The R2s offer zoom and a large number of built in effects breaking the LEDs up into segments. These lights are about the same size as the industry standard Mac Auras… The R2s feature built in effects including the ability to illuminate or pixel map individual zones of LEDs. The R2s are fast becoming a standard wash.
We have a limited number of Martin Mac Aura LED wash in inventory and more are available by cross rental if needed. The Martin Aura is a rider favorite and bright rich color mixing and very fast movement. They offer zoom and a Aura back light effect that can be of a different color than the main wash. The Aura is an interesting effect and can pulsate behind the main light or have a glow when the main light is dimmed.
